Avison Young have a large land agency service team working on property matters for all types of infrastructure projects including roads, utilities and all types of renewable projects. We have over 45 years’ experience delivering high quality services to our infrastructure clients. We have been involved in projects from inception until completion. Our Landowner Liaison Team operates across Ireland, providing a vital service to ensure the seamless delivery of projects for our clients.

Role overview

We are currently seeking a capable and self motivated Landowner Liaison Officer (LLO) to join our team. This key role will serve as the primary point of contact between landowners involved in the project and our client.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively. The LLO will collaborate closely with a wider project team, participate in meetings, and provide regular updates and feedback. The LLO will be responsible for supporting our client in building relationships with landowners that will be directly impacted by the delivery of the project. They will be responsible for delivering consistent messaging to affected landowners relating to projects.

The successful candidate will report to AY and also take direction directly from the client. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who is confident managing relationships, resolving issues efficiently, and contributing to the overall success of the project.

Key responsibilities

  • Engagement with landowners
  • Introducing new projects to landowners
  • Arranging access for ecological surveys with landowners
  • Arranging access with landowners for site investigation works
  • Land condition surveys
  • Disturbance and crop loss assessments
  • Building and maintaining relationships with landowners
  • Liaising with various stakeholders on the project
  • Reviewing landowner issues
  • Supervising contractors works on landowners land
  • Confirming landowner details, boundaries etc.
  • Recording landowner interactions
  • Utilising software applications (Verif-i) and client’s system

Requirements

  • Farming background desirable
  • IT skills – Basic Excel, comfortable with sending/receiving emails and using software applications (Handheld device and Verif-i) training will be provided
  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Agriculture desirable
  • CSCS Card
  • Safe Pass
  • Full clean driving licence
