Property Accounts Assistant  - 12 Month FTC, Property Management Team, Dublin

Overall Purpose of Job

The property accounts assistant will be responsible for the financial management of our property management client accounts. The individual will adhere to established policies and procedures ensuring appropriate internal controls. The property accounts assistant supports the property management team. 

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Responsible for accurate input of data provided by Property Managers;
  • Set up and maintain supplier and tenant accounts;
  • Invoicing in accordance with lease agreements;
  • Debtors: Credit control duties including account reconciliations, calls, letters and email to tenants in arrears;
  • Receipts processing and prepare bank reconciliations;
  • Creditors: Supplier invoicing process on the system and arrange payments;
  • Preparation of quarterly budget v’s actual spend on service charge for review;
  • Preparation of figures for annual service charge audits;
  • Liaising with property manager and running various ad hoc reports as required;
  • Transfer of client rent monies;
  • Recharge invoices on tenant accounts as required;
  • Quarterly client reporting;
  • Prepare VAT returns;
  • Issue management fees;
  • Other ad hoc activities to include fee invoices for other clients.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Attention to detail;
  • The candidate must be able to work to agreed deadlines and be flexible in approach;
  • Ability to prioritise workload;
  • Excellent Communication skills;
  • Be self motivated and work well in a team environment;
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable;
  • Experience with Qube property management software is desirable;
  • Part qualified accountant or degree in accounting.
